RANDOM F.A.Q.
Filter Maintenance
There are a few things to think about regarding filter maintenance. If you have a domestic pool with a sand filter, you will need to change the sand every 5 to 10 years, depending on how the filter has been maintained. If you have purchased a property and don't know how often the filter has been back washed, we recommend doing a sand change.

If the filter is not functioning at peak efficiency, you will waste money on chemicals. Great for any pool shop, but not the way we want you to spend your money.

Commercial filters require a sand change every 2 to 3 years. In terms of cartridge filters, they should be replaced every 5 years in a domestic system, and every 12 months in a commercial system.
